After their eleven game unbeaten run came to an end last weekend Bromley look to embark on another as they travel up to Stockport County for a televised National League match on Saturday evening.
Andy Woodman’s side lost 3-0 at League One Rotherham Utd in the FA Cup last time out, having on loan Pompey defender Haji Mnoga sent off early in the second half.
This was The Ravens’ first defeat since 11th September and that impressive run has seen them rise to fourth in the league with twenty seven points from thirteen matches, just three points off leaders Boreham Wood with a game in hand.
Prior to the FA Cup exit Bromley won 2-0 at Woking with goals from George Alexander and new signing Jack Cawley.
Away from the pitch Chairman Robin Stanton-Gleaves has issued a statement regarding the speculation about Hartlepool Utd’s interest in manager Andy Woodman, saying no official approach has been made and the club are very happy with their manager.
Stockport recently appointed former player Dave Challinor as first team manager, enticing him away from Hartlepool Utd whom he won promotion with from the National League via the play offs last season. County are currently tenth in the table with twenty points from thirteen league games.
Last weekend The Hatters drew 2-2 at Bolton Wanderers in the FA Cup, setting up a replay at Edgeley Park next midweek, Scott Quigley and Ben Whitfield scoring the opening and last goals.
When the sides met at Edgeley Park on Eater Monday last season it ended 0-0 in one of Andy Woodman’s first games in charge of The Ravens as they started on a run to the play offs.
This match looks set to be equally as tight, with both teams looking to keep in touch with the leaders heading into the winter months.
The game is live on BT Sport, kicking off at 5.20pm.
