Kent all-rounder Darren Stevens has capped another great season for the club by picking up the Natwest T20 Blast Player of the Year award.
The 38 year old scooped the honour at the PCA Awards in Billingsgate, London on Wednesday evening.
Having been nominated for the main prize of Player of the Year, Stevens was to take the honour of the best T20 player having been influential in Kent’s campaign in the shortest format of the game.
Stevens was also named in the MVP Team of the Year after some reliable performances for Kent throughout the 2014 campaign.
The overall prize for the Player of the Year went to Adam Lyth of Yorkshire with the opening batsman having a phenomenal season with the bat.
Meanwhile, wicketkeeper Sam Billings was a runner up in the Young Player of the Year category with Yorkshire’s Alex Lees taking the honour.
To top off a great night for Kent, women’s captain Charlotte Edwards was to win the Women’s Player of the Year award.
