Last weekend saw Brands Hatch packed with driving talent both on and off the track as the DTM German Touring Car Championship was in town.
There was plenty of local talent with Dylon Phibbs and Simon Rudd racing in the inaugural Formula Ford race at the track. Bromley’s Gary Paffett was on track in the DTM race alongside British drivers Jamie Green and Andy Priaulx.
Also attending the event was Formula One star Jenson Button who won the F1 World Championship in 2009, he did a question and answer session as well as signing autographs for fans. Five lucky fans also got to be taken around the track in a DTM taxi on raceday.
Speaking about being at the race weekend Jensen said: “The last time I was here was last year for this race, I’ve got great memories of this place from back in Formula Ford days and Formula Three days, and it’s quite fun I get to drive the taxi car round a bit later on and experience that feeling again, especially at the first corner.”
Racing legend and 1996 F1 World Champion Damon Hill was also in attendance and made an appearance on the podium, where Paffett and Priaulx presented top three with their trophies of the Formula Four series.
As well as having these legends in attendance Paul Di Resta the 2010 DTM Champion was also attending the event, and did Taxi rides in a DTM which will have brought back memories for the Force India driver.
He also took part in an autograph session for fans as a great event was enjoyed by all the drivers and fans who attended.
