Kent Spitfires will be looking to make it back to back T20 wins against the Hampshire Royals when they come to Canterbury tonight.Cricket - Friends Life Twenty20 South Group match - Kent v Sussex - The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, Canterbury, England

Buoyed by two wins in the T20 over the past week, the Spitfires will go into their last home game of the campaign believing they are more than capable of beating the Royals for the second time this summer after winning by eight runs at The Ageas Bowl.

With the Sky TV cameras in attendance, a great crowd is expected for the match that could see the Royals secure top place in the group and claim a home Quarter Final tie, whilst the Spitfires will be looking for another morale boosting victory in front of their home fans.

Despite the defeat to Surrey on Friday night, the Spitfires are expected to keep faith with youngsters Daniel Bell-Drummond and Fabian Cowdrey at the top of the order with the pair having impressed in recent weeks after coming into the side.

Cowdrey hit his maiden T20 fifty in the five wicket defeat at The Oval showing he is more than ready to be a mainstay in the Kent side for many years to come.

Meanwhile, all-rounder Darren Stevens is looking to maintain the form that has seen him pass 3,000 career T20 runs in the past week:

“I love everything about the T20 and it suits my game down to a tee. I’ve been doing well of late and want to keep that form going into the rest of the season.”

“It’s always nice when you pass the odd milestone, but for me nothing changes and I just want to go out there and do well for the side.”

“We’ve got a great opportunity to go on and do something with the season after a difficult start and it’s been quite refreshing having these young guys come into the side.”

“Maybe we didn’t get the selection of the team right for the opening five games, but we seem to have settled on a formula now that works for us.”

The game is scheduled to start at 7:10pm with skipper James Tredwell again missing with an ankle injury so Geraint Jones will once again skipper the side.

With Vernon Philander now having left Kent after his one month stint, Mark Davies has been recalled as part of a 13 man squad.

Kent squad: Jones (c/wk), Bell-Drummond, Cowdrey, Billings, Stevens, Blake, Harmison, Riley, Claydon, Coles, Davies, Haggett, Ball.
