Kent have named a thirteen man squad for their final YB40 game of the season against Nottinghamshire at Canterbury today.Cricket: Kent v Worcestershire, Yorkshire Bank 40 Group A

The Spitfires go into the game at the Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence knowing they can’t qualify, but will still be looking to pick up a win after Saturday’s disappointment against Gloucestershire in the County Championship.

Adam Ball, Adam Riley, Fabian Cowdrey and Mark Davies all come back into the squad for the game with captain James Tredwell telling KSN how he wants to end this summer’s YB40 campaign with a victory:

“We would have liked to have been in the same position [of progressing into the semi-finals] going into that last game, and we will still be trying to win the game on Monday.”

“Like we’ve said throughout, maybe we haven’t been fighting for competitions at times this year, but we always want to be fighting for the games that we’re playing in and getting as much out of those games as we can, and that will certainly be the case on Monday.”

“I don’t think it makes it easier for us [that Notts need to win the game], we still want to put on a good performance. We’ve played some good cricket at periods throughout the year, and certainly in the YB40 we’ve done that over the whole competition.”

“We want to do that again and continue that form, and it is still time in the middle for the lads going forward to those games coming up.”

“Fabian [Cowdrey] has played the last few games [in one-day cricket], and he’s done pretty well for us over the limited overs format over the last few weeks, so I’m sure he will probably feature.”

Kent: Tredwell (c), Northeast, Key, Nash, Stevens, Harmison, Ball, Davies, Jones (w), Claydon, Riley, Haggett, Cowdrey.
