The Invicta Dynamos made it a four point weekend with a tight 5-3 victory away to Solent & Gosport on Sunday night.
The Dynamos followed up Saturday night’s emphatic 10-0 win over the Cardiff NIHL Devils with another two points to make it the perfect weekend for Kevin Parrish’s side.
Going into the game, the Dynamos were once again able to take a full roster to the South coast with both Nicky Lewis and Dan Fudger deemed fit enough to take their places in the side.
However, it wasn’t all one way traffic for the Dynamos as Solent put up a strong fight in their home rink.
Captain Anthony Leone was to give the Dynamos the lead in the eleventh minute, but the home side were level within a minute to make it 1-1 at the end of the first period.
The Dynamos were to restore their lead ten minutes into the second period with import Juraj Huska scoring his first of the night, but Solent & Gosport fought back to take it in level after forty minutes.
A strong final twenty minutes saw Huska add goals two and three of the night either side of one from Shaun Wild as they stepped up a gear to secure the two points.
The victory sees the Dynamos end the weekend third in the NIHL South with two games against leaders Wightlink Raiders to come next weekend.
The Dynamos travel to the Isle of Wight on Saturday evening for the NIHL Southern Cup fixture, before the two teams face each other in Gillingham on Sunday night for the first of the Dynamos’ Southeast Trophy games with face off at 5:15pm.
