It was a disappointing night for the Invicta Dynamos on the south coast despite goals from Juraj Huska and Ashley Jackson as they fell to a 7-2 road defeat at the hands of the Solent Devils.

The Mos gave a debut to Stanislav Lascek and welcomed back Tom Davis and Ben Clements who were absentees the previous week but were without Matt Foord.

In the opening period the visitors started better and were in front at 04.18 – Harrison Lillis teeing up Juraj Huska for the early goal. At 08.10 tempers then flared – Brandon Webster and Daniel Shier both picking up 5 minutes for fighting with Shier also receiving a game misconduct for leaving the bench.

Despite the poor start, the Devils would claim the lead by the break – tallying three without reply during the remainder of the frame. The first came at 10.40 – Mitchell Murray converting after work from Ralfs Circenis and Mason Wild. Another Murray – this time Alex – then claimed their second at 18.01 with assists going to Alexander Trendall and Andrew Campbell. The third followed swiftly at 18.30 – Circenis firing beyond Clements immediately after build-up play from Daniel Lackey and Campbell.

3-1 down at the end of the first, the Mos needed a response in the second and they looked to be on the comeback trail at 22.36 when Anthony Leone and Juraj Huska combined before Ashley Jackson netted to pull the visitors within one. However their evening only proceeded to become more difficult when an interference minor on Harrison Lillis resulted in them conceding a powerplay goal at 27.32 to make it 4-2. Ralf Circenis was the goalscorer for the Devils – Elliot Lewis claiming the assist.

At 36.14 the hosts then added a fifth to secure a three goal cushion heading back into the changing room with Circenis completing his hat-trick – additional points going to Calumn Parella-Fox and Alex Murray.

In the final frame the night only became more frustrating for the Dynamos as they slowly fell further and further behind. At 44.08 Elliot Lewis made it 6-2 after work from Ralfs Circenis and Calumn Parella-Fox before the scoring was completed at 58.09 via Alex Murray from a Alexander Trendall pass.

A 7-2 road defeat for the Dynamos then and a night they will want to quickly consign to the books before looking to return to winning ways against the Milton Keynes Thunder the following night.
