Bromley manager Neil Smith has said that he is disappointed following a tough weekend for his side at Gateshead.
The Ravens lost 2-0 at the Gateshead International Stadium with a goal in each half.
It’s been a busy week at Hayes Lane with three new players coming into the squad including ex Maidstone attacker Zavon Hines.
“We were quite leggy, slow. I thought to be fair, Zavon was a shining light today in a difficult game. I thought he wanted to get on the ball and he showed discipline.
“We were done by two set plays which I think we’ve been a little bit slack on of late. We didn’t use ours to the full potential so I’m disappointed.”
They faced a long trip to Tyneside on Saturday after a long, delay-ridden trip to the North East on Friday night.
“I thought we looked like we had just come away from a trip which took a lot out of us. I don’t want to use that as an excuse but in the second half we fought a little bit more.”
“We got up here late last night, we only had a half hour training session so we didn’t really work with the boys, bless them. We did our best but that wasn’t us.
“On previous occasions when we’ve come up here we’ve done well but we were a yard off it today.”
Bromley now need to regain their focus as they host Sutton on Saturday in the FA Trophy – a competition they reached the final of last season.
