Kiern had shown excellent race pace in the previous rounds, and the first race at Donington was no exception. In the opening lap, he charged from eighth to an impressive fourth, and in the process performed an opportunistic move past two competitors at the Fogarty Esses.
From there Kiern kept his race clean – staying out of trouble while lapping consistently to ensure that he would collect a significant number of championship points for his efforts.
As the chequered flag was waved, Kiern crossed the line in fourth, just over a second behind Kaylen Frederick. However, due to a penalty handed to Kaylen Frederick, Kiern was promoted to third position, making his hard work taste that little bit sweeter, being rewarded with third place finish. |
