Chris Powell’s unbeaten side head north to take on Sheffield United this weekend.

Sheffield, like Rome, is a city built on seven hills and Bramall Lane may witness an epic spectacle tomorrow.

There are a whole clutch of teams who have made a good start to the season and consistency, together with luck in avoiding injuries, will be the key to success.

One decision Powell may have to make is who to play alongside Paul Hayes. Bradley Wright-Phillips jarred his knee at Milton Keynes and must be rated a doubtful starter.

With Paul Benson still not fit, the options are to push Scott Wagstaff up front or start with Yann Kermorgant, though the Frenchman may not yet be fully match fit yet. Fit again Danny Green will be pushing for the right-wing spot and will definitely start if Wagstaff plays further forward.

Danny Wilson’s side have started well but suffered a surprising defeat at Wycombe last week. The Blades were in the ascendency for most of the match and it was a game that will have left them wondering how they came away empty handed.

Sheffield United have beaten Brentford, Walsall and Bury at Bramall Lane but were beaten 3-0 by Huddersfield.

Chris Powell may start with this team:

Hamer; Solly, Taylor, Morrison, Wiggins; Green, Stephens, Hollands, Jackson; Wagstaff, Hayes.

Subs: Sullivan, Cort, Hughes, Euell, Kermorgant.

The referee will be Cheshire’s experienced Scott Mathieson.

Bramall Lane may witness a draw for the first time this season.

Leon Cort will miss the JPT game with Brentford, as well as the match against Tranmere, as he has been called up for World Cup duty by Guyana.

Young left-winger, Ben Davisson, has joined Welling United on loan.
