Sevenoaks Town and Three Bridges showed why both sides were in the top four of the Division and for the neutral this was a brilliant game, Sevenoaks controlled the first while Three Bridges controlled the second and as the scoreline suggests both sides deserved a point.
The first few minutes of the half were frantic as both sides tried to take control & in the 8th minute Carmon Lawson saw his 25 yard free kick saved by Daniel Colmer. Eight minutes later Sevenoaks had their first chance when Karn Miller-Neave saw his 20 yard shot pushed away by Jasper Sheik.
Sevenoaks took the lead in the 19th minute when a bad back pass saw Kieron Cadogan latch onto it & nicked it past the defender & then once in the area slipped it past Sheik from 12 yards.
Three Bridges nearly equalised in the 21st minute when the ball in the area saw a snap shot was saved by Colmer’s legs. Colmer came to the rescue in the 29th minute when he saved Lawson’s shot & then seven minutes later a cross into the six yard box saw Billy Irving’s header saved by Colmer. In the 39th minute Sevenoaks could have doubles their lead when Dominic Morgan-Griffiths was put through but he shot over the bar from 18 yards.
In the 40th minute Sevenoaks did double their lead when firstly Cadogan latched on to a back pass & from 20 yards his shot was pushed around the post by Sheik & from the resulting corner into the area was half cleared to the edge of the area & Corey Holder just lashed it in giving Sheik no chance.
In the 44th minute Three Bridges nearly got a goal back when Kevin Rivera in the area saw his shot pushed away by Colmer for a corner. The half time whistle went & Sevenoaks looked to be in command but really needed to get another goal to make sure of victory as Three Bridges looked dangerous in patches.
The second half started with Three Bridges taking control & because things & decisions seem to go against his team Jamie Crellin was getting frustrated & he found himself in the book for something said to the manager.
Sevenoaks seemed to have survived the flurry of attacks but in the 59th minute Three Bridges scored when a ball into the area was bouncing around & Rivera poked it in from 5 yards.
Three Bridges were now in total control & Sevenoaks were holding on until the 70th minute when Harvey Woollard saw his 20 yard shot fly into the net. In a rare attack Cadogan saw his 20 yard shot go just wide, then a minute later Three Bridges should have been in front when Rivera found himself alone in the area but his blasted his shot over the bar.
Three minutes later another chance went a begging when a corner to the near post saw Irving’s header go wide. In the 87th minute a free kick from 18 yards saw Ibrahim Jalloch’s effort go just past the post & then in the 89th minute a long throw into the Sevenoaks area was flicked on & Jalloch saw his shot saved by Colmer.
The final whistle went & both sets of players can take the applause as they served up a great game & deserved the point they both gained.
