Six of Kent’s cricketers have been named in the provisional 30-player England Women’s squad for the 2012 ICC Women’s World Twenty20, to be staged in the Sri Lanka in September.
Kent captain Charlotte Edwards will skipper the side with Tamsin Beaumont, Deanna Cooper, Lydia Greenway, Laura Marsh and Susie Rowe all named in the squad that will be cut to just fourteen names next month.
England Women will face Australia, India and Pakistan in the group stages beginning on Thursday 27 September against Pakistan in Galle.
