SEFA hoping to retain Valencia cup

With Easter almost upon us, Soccer Elite FA are preparing to fly the flag for England in the prestigious European Youth tournament Valencia CF Cup.

They will be competing against world renowned Academy teams from Brazil, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal & many more.

Buoyed by the success achieved at last years event Soccer Elite FA are taking 11 teams across age groups 8 – 16, enabling more than 100 players to benefit from the experience of tournament football in the spanish city of Valencia which is one of the ‘hotbeds’ of European football.

Fixtures take place at the official home of Valencia CF, with all teams being guaranteed a minimum of 3 games before hopefully progressing into the semi-final stages.

Soccer Elite FA have an enviable reputation amongst European Academies based upon taking the top honours last year in the 8’s & under category plus winning the overall Best Academy award at the first time of asking.

Academy Director Lee Spiller said “Playing in top class European tournaments for young players leaves lasting memories & provides the ideal platform for player development. Part of our philosophy is to provide unique opportunities for our players & this tournament certainly falls into that category.

“Last year was a great experience for everyone involved with Soccer Elite FA & having a locally based Academy rubbing shoulders with the likes of Inter Milan, Benefica, Valencia & Flamengo from Brazil is incredible for us & the local community”

Soccer Elite leave for Valencia on 5th April with the tournament commencing on Friday 6th April. Finals day is Sunday 8th April & it is hoped they return to England as successful as they did in 2011.
