Second tier beckons for Addicks women
Charlton Women will play in the new national second tier next season a‎fter beating Blackburn at Bramall Lane on Sunday.

Rovers had carried all before them in the northern section this season, winning two cups as well as the league title.
There was a good turn out of 917 for the game, with many more watching‎ via the live stream.
The Addicks suffered an early set back when Blackburn were awarded a fifth minute penalty. Lynda Shepherd stepped up and beat Katie Startup to give Rovers the lead.
Charlton stood the game on its head shortly before the interval. First, the prolific Kit Graham headed the equaliser after 42 minutes, then Geogia Griffin nodded Riteesh Mishra’s side in front in stoppage time.
‎The Addicks had the opportunity to make the game safe three minutes from time when Graham was brought down in the box, but Charlotte Gurr’s penalty was saved by Danielle Hill.
The domestic league season comes to a close on Monday afternoon, when Coventry take on Exeter in the League Two Play-Off Final at Wembley.
Former Charlton defender, Richard Wood, scored two goals from set plays to give Rotherham a 2-1 win over Shrewsbury in the League One Final on Sunday.
Rather worryingly, all three sides relegated from the Championship last season – Blackburn, Wigan and Rotherham – bounced back at the first time of asking.
Coventry will be hoping to continue the trend of immediate promotion following relegation.
