Second place for Ward at Snetterton
Second place for Ward at Snetterton

Tom Ward was back on the podium last time out Snetterton, finishing second in the Pirelli National Superstock race.

It was quite the weekend for Ward who has been deputising for Sam Cox on board the Armada Marine Cables machine.

He qualified for the race in eighth place and then he went on to be more competitive than he would have imagined. Pushing Joe Talbot all the way for the win and beating Luke Mossey into third.

Speaking after the weekend a delighted Ward said: “A great weekend at Snetterton! We started the weekend strong in the practice sessions and tweaked the bike slightly, qualifying was very sketchy in the wet but even with a small off we had a positive session.

It was the first time riding the Honda in the wet. I’m still finding the limits with the tyres and bike which is a positive place to be. P2 in the race was a nice way to finish the weekend.

“I just want to say a big thank you to Armada Marine Cables, Belcom & Zyrad for giving me the opportunity to ride this season. Along with that Sam Cox Racing Sam, Graham & Frankie for everything they’ve done behind the scenes!

“Tom Oliver Motorcycles preparing the bike to the highest of standards and on the spanners. Dave @ Rapid & Charles for the technical help.

“A big thanks to B.CH Services for making a last minute bracket with the help from RACETORX to run their thumb brake with the standard master cylinder!

“It’s a huge team effort to get the results in our class and I’m really grateful for everyone that has helped in this process from product sponsors to personal sponsors making it all possible thank you to everyone who supports me, family, friends and fiance.
