Alex Nevill will be looking to finish his season on a high note, as the Mini Challenge Cooper Pro championship concludes it’s 2019 season at Snetterton in Norfolk this weekend.
The Kent racer lies in 5th place in the championship standings. Just 16 points away from 3rd overall and 15 points from the lead of the Rookie Cup, for drivers in their first year of racing in the class.
With 118 points up for grabs over the weekend it’s all to play for. Having achieved his best finish of the year in the previous round at Donington Park with 2nd place in race one, Nevill goes into the weekend with a high level of confidence.
Speaking ahead of the weekend, Nevill said: “It’s been a tough year for us but our pace has been strong in the second half of the year.
“The podium at Donington gives me a lot of confidence going into the weekend, and having already raced at Snetterton once this year (the circuit also hosted the first round of the championship,) I feel well prepared.
“If we can achieve it the Rookie Cup would be a great reward for our hard work this year, I’ll do all I can to achieve it.”
The season finale will take place over two 15 minute races, one on Saturday and the final round on Sunday.
