Former Gills coach Mark Robson has been named as the one of the bookies favourites to replace Andy Hessenthaler after he left The Gills on Tuesday.
Hessenthaler left the club two years into a three year contract by mutual consent and now the search begins for the club’s new manager.
With that in mind, bookmakers have already started looking at all the likely candidates with Scott named as one of the favourites, whilst former Gillingham coach Mark Robson has seen his odds drop to 2/1.
Other notable names already being touted as being in line for the job are Barnet manager Martin Allen, former Coventry boss and Gills player Micky Adams and Ebbsfleet United manager Liam Daish.
Other names being linked with the job are former Gills players Adrian Pennock (coach at Stoke City), Steve Bruce (former Sunderland boss) and Robert Taylor (manager at Diss Town).
Meanwhile, former Gillingham Ladies manager Ian Varley has been listed as being 25/1 to take on the job!
