“I’ve played Scalextric with my Dad since I was little – I still have a huge collection of cars – in fact I got a couple for Christmas! – so it’s unbelievably cool to have my BTCC car released – it’s something to cherish forever, and judging by the reaction of fans it should be a popular seller”
“Since Scalextric began releasing the modern range of BTCC cars there’s been huge passion for them from collectors – the quality of the models and detail of the graphics – ALL of our sponsors are delighted as they are clearly visible on the model. It’s a great start to 2018, I will be getting one as soon as they are released in March” added Hill.
Hill has focussed on several meetings at the show, including with the British Racing Driver’s Club ‘Rising Stars’ – a programme he has proudly been part of since being included as a 16 year-old in 2010 when racing in Ginetta Junior.
“I have met with some sponsors and partners and of course the media today. It’s been great seeing the support we have for the coming season. With the addition of Geoff Kingston to the technical team at Team HARD Brisky Racing, plus confirmation of our other drivers, we are in such a positive place, so I can’t wait to start testing, hopefully next month.”
“Personally and as a team I will be the most prepared I have ever been. It will be fiercely competitive, but I feel confident I have shown I can qualify and race at the front, so we are aiming high. I am delighted to welcome some amazing partners back for 2018 – ROLEC, Brisky Racing, Sportif Motor Group, Ecoflam, Danfoss, Bill Rawles Classic Cars, JEP Photography, Zynth plus new partners such as Spine Optics – and a few more we are still in discussion with – we are unbelievably excited as a team!”
Hill will attend the AUTOSPORT Show on Friday and Saturday – look out for announcements as to when he will be interviewed on the Main Stage and signing autographs at 1pm on the GTRDC stand on Saturday and Team HARD Brisky Racing’s stand too.
“Come and say hello – I’m in SUCH a great mood!!!” smiled Hill.
