The British Rallycross Championship in association with Odyssey Batteries makes its second visit to Lydden Hill, the spiritual home of Rallycross, on the August Bank Holiday Monday.
Tunbridge Wells based Driver Graham Rumsey is relishing the challenge to close in on the championship lead at his home event.
After a win at the last round in Belgium Rumsey is currently only 4 points behind the defending champion Wielgosz and looking to take the championship fight to his rival. Last time out at Lydden in round 2 Rumsey narrowly missed out on a podium finish something he is looking to correct this time around.
Round 7 of the championship then returns for its second visit to Pembrey circuit in Wales held on the 27th September.
Speaking ahead of the weekend, Rumsey said: “Looking forward to the last three rounds. Reasonably happy with the results so far considering it is my first attempt at Rallycross, but now I have a little knowledge of the circuits, I am hoping to improve that little bit more which will hopefully take us to the British Championship.
“I will certainly be giving it 100%! Special thanks to my Sponsors, Onwatch and Fletchers Solicitors for helping me get this far and to Xtreme RX for building me a great car.”
