Chatham based racing driver Simon Rudd will make his long awaited return to the track this weekend at Brands Hatch.
Having not driven since halfway through the Formula Four season the young racer will be back in the Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain.
He will be driving for Falcon Motorsport and will be part of an all Kent based driver line-up as he joins Luke Reade.
It will be a unique opportunity for the Kent duo to stamp their authority on the racing at their home track.
Speaking about the opportunity afforded to him, Simon said: “It’s a great opportunity to try something different. I haven’t driven the car yet, but I hope that I will be able to quickly adjust to it early on Friday during practice and make strides over the whole weekend.
“It’s the final round and everyone wants to finish the year on a high – so let’s see what happens. I’m looking forward to working with Luke. We are good mates and hopefully we can help each other over the weekend.
“Obviously we will want to beat each other, but I’m hoping to learn a few things that he has picked up and I’m sure that he will thinking the same. I’d like to say a massive thank you to Falcon Motorsport and Jackson Lifts for making this possible and I’m really looking forward to it.”
There will be three races for Simon to impress in during the weekend, although he hasn’t driven the car as yet, he will be in with a chance to make a massive impression this weekend.
