Team HARD. have announced that promising talent Simon Rudd has re-signed for 2015 to compete in the VW Racing Cup at the wheel of a brand new Golf GTi-R.

Simon will be flying new colours this year after securing extended support from Elsfab (www.elsfab.co.uk). Elsfab are London and South East’s newest lift fabrication company offering a fresh approach to serving local and national lift companies with over 100 years of combined experience in the business.

There will be further sponsorship announcements to follow very soon, with some exciting news from a new partner that will have extensive coverage on at least 2 of our Team HARD cars to include Simon’s.

Simon said “I am delighted to have re-signed with Tony and Team HARD for 2015. Last season was a huge learning curve for me, it being my first full season in cars, and this year I am looking forward to really pushing on and move further up the field.”

“A huge amount of work has gone in over the winter and the cars look great. We have already had a shakedown and completed over 100 laps, with more planned before the start of the season.”

“I believe that we are in a much stronger position that than time last year and I am looking forward to a successful 2015 with Team HARD.”

Meanwhile, Team Manager Tony Gilham added “Simon showed glimpses of his pace and natural ability last year but never quite got the results he deserved.”

“He has shown in various other formulas that he has the speed to mix it right at the front. At times we let him down with the car last season and put us on the back foot from the start.”

“However, his year we have an all new set up and we should see a marked improvement from us both on and off track. Simon has amazing support and if we can get it right together this season, who knows where we can take him.”
