Gillingham will be missing a number of key players for their League One trip to Rochdale on Saturday afternoon.
Steve Evans is sweating over the fitness of both Trae Coyle and Connor Ogilvie for the trip to Spotland and will also be without to of his strikers too.
Both Jordan Graham and Dominic Samuel will miss the game as The Gills look to get back to winning ways.
Speaking ahead of the game on Friday afternoon, Evans pointed out he will be travelling north without some of his key players, but would still be looking to pick up three points:
“Jordan Graham is out for a couple more weeks. Dominic is out, Trae Coyle is travelling but doubtful. Connor Ogilvie is doubtful. Rochdale will give us a tough afternoon.”
“Any team misses the type of player that we are missing. We’ve got to get into January and then see what we can do to help the group. A win tomorrow would be tremendous.”
Evans would most likely welcome a point from a trip to a Rochdale side that thrashed Wigan Athletic 5-0 away from home on Tuesday night, so will undoubtedly go into the game full of confidence.
The home side do however start the game sitting 16th in League One, some four points behind The Gills, who will be determined to get back to registering victories after losing 2-1 at Doncaster Rovers last weekend and 2-0 to Accrington Stanley at home on Tuesday night.
When the two sides met back in January the game ended 2-2 with a brace from Jordan Roberts securing a point for The Gills. The same again on Saturday for the Kent side would probably represent a decent result given the current injury situation.
