Gillingham manager Justin Edinburgh could make changes to his team for the visit to Rochdale on Tuesday night.
Following Saturday’s 2-0 defeat by Port Vale at Priestfield, The Gills have extended their winless run to four games and dropped to sixth place in League One.
With their play-off place now coming into question, they will be desperate for a decent result, but on-loan defender Adam El-Abd is again expected to miss out because of a groin problem.
John Egan replaced him against Port Vale and is likely to retain his place in the starting line up, but an Achilles injury for Doug Loft means Tuesday’s fixture is likely to prove too soon.
Adedeji Oshilaja could also miss out, having picked up an injury on Saturday, while Dominic Samuel is continuing his rehabilitation from a knee injury.
Rochdale’s Ian Henderson will complete his four-match suspension against The Gills at Spotland.
Dale have only dropped two points in the three games Henderson has sat out so far and he will miss out for a final time due to the red card he received against Wigan.
Keith Hill’s men beat Blackpool 3-0 at home and he had the luxury of being able to substitute goalscorers Joe Bunney and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.
Calvin Andrew (foot) continues to miss out, though.
