As the Bennetts British Superbike Championship season finale gets underway at Brands Hatch, Bradley Ray has confirmed his ride for the 2022 season.
The talented rider from Lydd will remain with the Rich Energy OMG Racing team for 2022 along with teammate Kyle Ryde.
The team had been running the BMW 1000RR for 2021, but in 2022 they will switch to the Yamaha R1 with full support from McAMS Yamaha, as the team compete in their fifth season in BSB.
Ray remains with the team he has finished on the podium with, scored regular points with this season and just narrowly missed out on the showdown, which will be in his sights again for 2022.
Team Principal, Paul Curran, said “The RICH Energy OMG Racing team are delighted at the opportunity to work with Yamaha for 2022. With the invaluable support of Steve Rodgers and McAMS Yamaha, the agreement for the team to run fully supported Yamaha R1 motorcycles sees a bright future for the whole team.
After the decision to move to Yamaha was taken, retaining Brad, Kyle, and Billy, was key to our 2022 challenge. We firmly believe that they will benefit from the proven race-winning pedigree of the Yamaha R1. We’re excited to see both the bikes and riders on a track at the earliest opportunity.
Thank you to Yamaha Motor UK and Steve Rodgers of Raceways Motorcycles for their support in making it all happen. We’re looking forward to an exciting future in partnership with them both.”
