The second round of the Kent Disability Football League adult section got under way on Sunday 9th October at The Abbey School in Faversham.
25 teams were in attendance playing over 5 pitches. The premiership teams are now on the “OAST” pitch, their new home for the coming season with champ 1,2,3 & 4 on the 3G.
Players and managers gathered together on the centre of the 3G before kick-off where the chairman warmly welcomed them all to this the second round of games.
Talking about RESPECT was the main topic and that everyone should respect each other, coaches and most importantly the referee.
Play got under way at 10am on all 5 pitches and some good football perused. At around 10:45am the heavens decided to open and it was not just a passing shower but more of a monsoon.
Everyone continued to play football as if it was bright sunshine. However the onslaught of rain continued and at around 11:25am the referees and management committee decided that for everyone’s wellbeing the day’s proceedings would be brought to an abrupt end, thus ending the day’s footballing activities.
The next round of games for the Adults will be on Sunday 6th November 2016.
