Kent Cricket have announced that bowler Matt Quinn has signed an extension to his Kent contract, which will now run until at least the end of the 2025 season.
The right-arm seamer joined Kent initially on loan from Essex for 2021 before securing a permanent deal with the county later that year.
The 31-year-old has gone on to make 51 appearances for Kent so far across all formats, taking 93 wickets. His best figures for Kent came in 2022 away at Hampshire in the County Championship, where he took 6-23 inside just seven overs.
He missed the 2024 season with a back injury but returned to fitness to make Kent’s squad for their final County Championship match of the season against Durham at Chester-le-Street.
On extending his time at Kent, Quinn said: “I’m really pleased to be staying at Kent – I love it here.
“Kent is an ambitious Club on and off the field and despite our troubles this year, we’re eager to perform well in all formats in 2025 and beyond that, too.”
Kent’s Director of Cricket, Simon Cook said: “Quinny is capable of putting in the hard yards for us, whether it be a new ball or not. We missed his ability this season with his injury.
“He’s an extremely accurate bowler, able to build pressure, and I’m pleased that we’ll be able to call upon him for at least another year.
“He’s a very popular member of the dressing room and also provides our younger bowlers with that bit of experience to help them develop, too.”
