Plymouth are bang in form right now, and they will be backed by more than 2.000 fans at The Valley on Saturday.
Ben Amos injured his back in the warm-up prior to the Fleetwood game, and was heavily laced with painkillers to get him through the game.
Karl Robinson said his keeper would feel sore on Sunday, and added that he would probably not be fit enough to face the Pilgrims.
Amos’ back up – Dillon Phillips – is also currently injured, but could be fit enough to play on Saturday.
If both his senior keepers are ruled out, Robinson is likely to dip into the emergency loan market. Emergency loans are still permitted for keepers.
Chris Solly is unlikely to play again this season, and the Addicks will be without his usual deputy – Ezri Konsa – who will be away on international duty. Anfernee Dijksteel is the probable stand in.
Lewis Page will be available again after suffering concussion at Blackpool, and is likely to slot in at left-back.
Up front, Charlton must do without Josh Magennis, who is also on international duty. Wigan asked Northern Ireland not to include Will Grigg in their squad due to the Latics’ promotion battle.
Michael O’Neill was sympathetic to Wigan’s cause, and Grigg will be available for his club this weekend.
The Addicks will probably start with Michal Zyro as the focal point of their attack, but the Wolves loanee is not yet ready to play the full 90 minutes.
Robinson said at his post match press conference after the Fleetwood game, that Nicky Ajose had not yet ‘earned’ a starting place. So the former Manchester United trainee is likely to be used as an impact sub again.
It is going to be very difficult for Charlton to get the win they so desperately need.
