Great Britain won four out of four in the first part of the London leg of the FIH Pro League, beating Ireland (twice), India and Spain at Lee Valley between Saturday, 1st June and Thursday, 6th June. 

Rohan Bhuhi and Nick Bandurak were both involved in three matches apiece for Paul Revington’s side, taking on Ireland (twice) and India.

The three caps take Bhuhi to five Great Britain caps after he became the first Sikh to play for GB in 23 years when he made his debut in December. 

Bandurak’s two goals against India mean he has three goals in six Pro League matches this season with eight games remaining for Revington’s side and now has 60 combined international caps, scoring 45 goals in that time.

The four wins move Great Britain up to sixth in the Pro League table, with a minimum of four games-in-hand on each of the five teams ahead of them. 

GB are set to take on Australia (twice), India and Spain from Saturday to Wednesday as they conclude the home Pro League mini-tournaments before fixtures in Utrecht and Amsterdam later this month as the 2023/24 Pro League reaches its conclusion. 

New Men’s 1s Head Coach and Director of Hockey Kwan Browne is also one of Revington’s assistant coaches.

Brad Read, Men’s 1s player and Women’s 1s Assistant Coach, has also been in international action recently with New Zealand’s men set to take on Pakistan in the FIH Nations Cup Semi-Final tomorrow, while New Zealand’s women – featuring new Holcombe signings Kaitlin Cotter and Olivia Shannon – will face Ireland in their FIH Nations Cup Semi-Final, also on Saturday.
