The postponed MCE British Superbike race at Brands Hatch has been rescheduled for the Bank Holiday meeting at Oulton Park on Sunday, May 6.
The second race at Brands on Easter Monday was aborted due to deteriorating surface conditions after Jon Kirkham had won the opening race ahead of Alastair Seeley.
May’s Bank Holiday meeting at Oulton Park will now be a triple-header of BSB races.
The re-scheduled race will take place on the Sunday afternoon following qualifying. Riders will line up in the grid positions that were intended for race two at Brands Hatch, with Tyco Suzuki’s Seeley starting from pole position.
Two further races at Oulton Park will then take place on Bank Holiday Monday, May 7 as planned.
MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship Series Director, Stuart Higgs, said: “It was hugely disappointing that we had to postpone the second Superbike race at Brands Hatch last weekend.
“We evaluated all possible rescheduling options and determined that it will take place at the next round of the championship at Oulton Park over the May Bank Holiday weekend.”
