Lydd’s Bradley Ray was back in the points at the penultimate round of the World Superbike Championship at the weekend.
He took two points in the final race of the weekend, as he heads to Jerez next weekend for his final race in the World Superbike Championship for now.
In race one, Ray maintained a consistent pace that allowed him to conclude in sixteenth position, just outside the points zone.
Speaking after race one, Ray said: “It was a tough Saturday. I’m having traction issues, and this hinders my performance in both the wet and the dry.
“We hope to make a step forward tomorrow and be closer to the group ahead so that we can reach the points zone, which remains the goal.”
The Superpole Race got underway on Sunday morning, running over a distance of just ten laps. Brad made up positions during the course of the sprint to cross the line in 18th place.
The longer feature race ran later on in the afternoon. Ray got away well and maintained a consistent pace, which allowed him to finish fourteenth and score two championship points.
Speaking after the weekend, Ray said: “This weekend didn’t get off to a simple start, especially with the weather and track conditions, but today we were able to move in the right direction and finish in a very positive way, scoring points for the championship.
“And now I can’t wait to go to Jerez. Thanks to the team for all their important and constructive work.”
