Charlton’s 20-year-old keeper, Dillon Phillips, has joined National League outfit, Cheltenham Town, on loan until 2 January.
Cheltenham were relegated from League Two at the end of last season and will be looking to make an immediate return to the Football League.
This will be Phillips’ third loan spell, he had stints at Whitehawk and Bishop’s Stortford last season.
Phillips skippered Jason Euell’s Under-21 side last season but needs to be playing regular first team football to help his development.
Highly rated by former Addicks goalkeeping coach, Ben Roberts, Phillips was included on the bench for a number of games last season.
He will have one familiar face as a teammate at Whaddon Road, midfielder Jack Munns joined the Robins earlier in the summer after being released by Charlton.
Nick Pope is another keeper who may go out on loan before the season starts.
