Kent Cricket have confirmed that Simon Philip has been appointed as a Vice President of the Club, following his retirement as Club Chair in June 2024.

Philip dedicated 17 years of service to the Club until his retirement last Summer, with roles including two years on the Redevelopment Sub-Committee from 2007-2009, eight years as Honorary Treasurer from 2009-2017 and seven years as Club Chair from 2017- 2024.

Simon is also a former Chair of The Kent Trust for Youth Sport, serves as a Kent Ambassador and has recently been appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of Kent.

Kent Cricket’s Chair, Krish Shanmuganathan, said: “Simon gave many years of service to Kent Cricket and has been a tremendous ambassador for us at Chair level.

“His appointment as a Vice President is the highest award that the Club can give, and we once again thank Simon for his extensive contributions to Kent Cricket in leadership roles.”
