Charlton get an early opportunity to put another disappointing result behind them when they travel to London Road on Tuesday.
Posh had a good win at Blackburn on Saturday, beating Rovers 3-2, thanks to a Dwight Gayle hat-trick. Peterborough are side that score goals but like many in this league, they concede too many.
Chris Powell is likely to revert to a 4-5-1 formation in a game where he will be happy to avoid defeat. Chris Solly and Dale Stephens missed the game against Burnley through injury and the pair must be doubtful again.
David Button is likely to keep the gloves and is likely to have an unchanged back-four in front of him. Michael Morrison did not have a good game on Saturday but is likely to keep his place.
Danny Green was influential when he came on for the last half hour on Saturday and could be given an opportunity to add creativity from the flank. Dorian Dervite may be used as a shield in front of the defence with Bradley Pritchard and Johnnie Jackson also occupying central berths. Andy Hughes’ leadership qualities may also be an option Powell will consider.
Scott Wagstaff may get the nod on the left with Danny Haynes coming on as an impact sub in the latter stages of the game.
Ricardo Fuller is the most suitable player for the lone striker role and Jonathan Obika may join Haynes on the bench.
Charlton could look loke this:
Button; Wilson, Cort, Morrison, Wiggins; Green, Pritchard, Dervite, Jackson, Wagstaff; Fuller.
Subs: Hamer, Taylor, Evina, Hughes, Harriott, Obika, Haynes.
Oliver Langford from the West Midlands will be the man in charge.
Charlton have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 16 matches and will probably need to score to get anything from this game. Connections will be hoping for a similar performance to the one produced at Leicester a fortnight ago.
