Kevin Parrish believes the Invicta Dynamos will need two wins this weekend to be in with a chance of winning the league.
Two defeats in their last four league games has seen the Dynamos drop to third in the NIHL South league.
With the 3-1 loss to Chelmsford Chieftains last Sunday night, the Dynamos have found themselves six points behind league leaders Wightlink Raiders.
This weekend, they head to Streatham Redskins on Saturday night before welcoming Wightlink to the Silver Blades Ice Bowl in Gillingham the following evening.
A double win weekend could see the Dynamos back into contention at the top of the table and Head Coach, Kevin Parrish, believes it is a must for his side:
“If we want to stay in this title race and not be catching up and waiting for other teams to drop points, we need to win both games this weekend.” said Parrish.
The Dynamos have a mixed record against the Redskins this season, drawing 6-6 away from home in a contentious tie just a fortnight ago, but have beaten Wightlink four times in the five games so far this campaign.
Four points would make their league position look a lot healthier and although the league can’t be won at this stage of the season, it could well end up being lost.
Face off in Gillingham on Sunday night is 5:15pm with fans urged to get to the rink early to avoid the queues.
