Kevin Parrish wants the Invicta Dynamos to come away from this weekend with an unbeaten run of fifteen games.
Beaten just the once all season and having won eleven of the last thirteen unbeaten games, the Dynamos face arguably one of their toughest weekends of the season, playing in both the league and the cup.
Parrish takes his side to Cardiff on Saturday night to take on the NIHL Devils in the NIHL South looking to keep pace with league leaders Chelmsford Chieftains, before returning to Kent to take on Milton Keynes Thunder in the NIHL Southern Cup on Sunday evening.
Buoyed by the signing of import Marek Nahlik until the end of the current campaign, the Dynamos will be looking to secure another four points over the weekend that could see them top the league.
Speaking exclusively to Kent Sports News ahead of the weekend, Parrish explained how he knows his side are in for a tough weekend, but believes they are more than capable of coming away with two more wins:
“It’s going to be a very tough weekend. Cardiff are always a tough team at home to play with the travel there and then the travel home taking its toll and there’s no easy games, whilst MK Thunder will push us all the way even though they are bottom of the league.”
“We have to forget previous results and league positions this weekend and be switched on all weekend.”
“With the addition of Marek and Andy Smith back from honeymoon on Sunday, the team is looking strong.”
Much will depend on how Chelmsford do this weekend as they face MK Thunder in the league on Saturday night, but the Dynamos seem set to challenge for honours this season.
With fans flocking to Gillingham’s Silver Blades Ice Bowl in their hundreds to watch the Dynamos, there’s no better time to get behind the best ice hockey side in the county.
Face off is 5:15pm on Sunday evening with more information available from www.invictadynamos.co.uk
