Kevin Parrish wants another double winning weekend from the Invicta Dynamos as they look to keep their league title push going.
The Dynamos go into the next two games having won six of their last seven outings and buoyed by recent wins in both the league and trophy.
They start this weekend away to the Bracknell Hornets before coming back home on Sunday night for the top of the table clash against league leaders Chelmsford Chieftains.
With so much to play for and ground to be made up on Chelmsford who are seven points clear, but having played a game more, Parrish knows his side must take two wins this weekend to realistically still be in the title race:
“There is probably a little bit of pressure on us now and everyone was talking us up at the start of the season.”
“On paper we should be winning games, but we have dropped points here and there where we shouldn’t, but we will be hoping other teams drop points now and we’ll be putting the pressure back on ourselves to win every single game we are in.”
The Dynamos Head Coach went on to explain to KSN how he felf the league leaders were in pole position, but anything is possible in ice hockey:
“I think it is Chelmsford’s to lose, but we have got to play them twice and that’s four points if we win.”
“They have got pressure on them and it’s hard to retain the title having won it last year.”
“The league doesn’t lie and at the end of every year, the best team has won the league.”
“We are waiting them for them to slip up and although we don’t want to be waiting for them to slip up, that’s where we are.”
The much anticipated clash against Chelmsford on Sunday night in Gillingham should be a classic with face off at 5:15pm.
