Parrish hoping Dynamos maintain form

Kevin Parrish is hoping his side can maintain the kind of form that saw them thrash MK Thunder 12-0 to the end of the season.

The Dynamos were in no mood to pity the under strength visitors as they came to Gillingham on Saturday night missing some of their key players.

Leading four-nil at the end of the first period thanks to goals from Nathaniel Rose, Justin Noble, Peter Vaisenen and Callum Best, the Dynamos then raced into a nine-nil lead with two each from Noble and Callum Fowler along with one from captain Andy Smith putting them in an unassailable lead.

Three more goals from the Dynamos wrapped up the game and saw the side claim all two points that keeps their title challenge alive, leaving Parrish happy with what he had seen:

“Milton Keynes are a lot better than what they showed. I think they have had a couple of hard weeks, so they are on a little bit of a downer.”

“I know they were missing a few guys, but they weren’t very good and I’m sure a lot of players like Newman will hold his hands up and admit they weren’t very good.”

“We went back to the original lines and it worked. We asked certain players to move the puck a little bit more and these sorts of games are good as they give you confidence.”

“There weren’t too many bad habits out there, although they were a littl bit too sloppy in the first period.”

“I think we put on a good show and scored some nice goals.”

One of the most pleasing things for Parrish at the moment is the fact a lot of his players are getting on the scoresheet and not leaving it to just one or two goalscorers:

“We have got enough talent there and we have probably got four or five guys here that could be in the league top ten come the end of the year.”

“It’s good to see the likes of Nicky Lewis and Nathaniel Rose getting out there and doing their bit.”

“We have to make sure we don’t have just one line, two lines, three lines or four, we need to have them all firing. Andy Smith, Noble, Vas and Grant Baxter’s lines are all very capable and that’s what we want.”

After the emphatic win against Milton Keynes, The Dynamos were brought back down to earth with a bump as they lost 7-1 to Chelmsford Chieftains on Sunday evening.
