Head Coach Kevin Parrish has called for four more points from his Invicta Dynamos side this weekend after their epic win against Bracknell Bees.
The Kent outfit pulled off the shock of the season last Sunday, beating the EPL side, becoming the first NIHL South team to beat a team in the league above in the English Challenge Cup.
Buoyed by a very vocal support at the Silver Blades Ice Bowl in Gillingham, the Dynamos showed their real potential to win 6-4 against their favoured opponents and this weekend they will be looking to follow that up with two wins in the league.
Going into the weekend, the Dynamos are fifth in the NIHL South, five points behind leaders Chelmsford Chieftains and face the long trip to Wales on Saturday evening to face the Cardiff NIHL Devils before returning to Kent on Sunday evening to take on Milton Keynes Thunder.
Both games present the Dynamos with chances to win and Parrish is hoping his side carry on where they left off on Sunday and pick up two vital victories:
“It was a great win last week, but means nothing if we don’t carry that energy and passion into this weekend.”
“Four points is a must for us this weekend.”
Parrish will be hoping that both Charlie Phillips and Frankie Harvey’s hand injuries have healed sufficiently to take their place on the bus to Cardiff, whilst Adam McNicoll should have recovered from a knock sustained against Bracknell Bees to feature.
Grant Baxter is expected to once again be missing for the Dynamos, with a strong roster expected to go out and show their worth this weekend.
Face off at Gillingham on Sunday evening is 5:15pm and a decent crowd is expected to come out and support the side after last weekend’s heroics.
