After what feels an awful long wait Dan Parker will be back on track doing what he loves the most racing cars.
He will make his long awaited return to the track in the Mini Challenge later in 2018.
Speaking about getting back on track, Parker said: “Yes, I’m over the moon to be back racing again, I feel like a kid in a candy store.
“It has been horrible being a spectator the last few years, watching the others race at Brands Hatch while I should be out there. Big thanks to at Matt 130R performance.
“I’m doing the second half of the Mini Challenge this year. I cannot wait to get in the car. There are so many good drivers out there this season. Even BTCC stars Matt Neal and Paul O’Neil raced this season at Oulton Park.”
Before he gets back out on track, Dan is hoping that he will be able to get some time behind the wheel and make sure that he isn’t going to the second half of the season in the Mini Challenge.
He added: “Hopefully I can get some testing done before my first race. I need to get used to Front wheel drive again as in my racing career the cars were Rear wheel drive. I’m also down the gym getting race fit.”
Dan will be looking to get back into the action without setting too many targets for the second half of the season and he is looking forward to working with Lawrence Davey.
Dan said: “I just want to keep my nose clean and finish the races and get used to the car. Then ready for a full campaign in 2019. Lawrence has a vast experience in motorsport and in Minis and will help me get the best out of the car.”
