Josh Parker has become Gillingham’s latest signing ahead of the 2017/18 Sky Bet League one season, joining the club on a two-year deal.
The 27-year-old forward, who came through the youth ranks at QPR, had loan spells at AFC Wimbledon, Northampton and Wycombe before joining Oldham in 2011. He later joined Gillingham in the January 2017 transfer window on a contract until the end of the 2016/17 season.
Ady Pennock was impressed with Josh during his period at the Gills and offered him a new two-year deal, which Josh was happy to accept.
On securing his future Parker told the club: “I am delighted to be back at Gillingham as a full time professional and cannot wait to get started.”
Parker is the first of the out of contract strikers that has decided to commit his future to Gillingham with Cody McDonald one of those that has yet to agree a new deal.
The goalscorer has been linked with moves to both Ebbsfleet United and Dover Athletic in recent weeks, but may still be persuaded to stay with The Gills.
