Holcombe Hockey Club have confirmed the arrival of Pakistan international Mubashar Ali to the club.
Following the arrivals of Felix Tully, Rohan Bhuhi, Matt Ramshaw, Teague Marcano, Matt Symonds and Ali Shan, Ali becomes Kwan Browne’s seventh summer addition ahead of an exciting 2024/25 campaign.
Ali has 36 goals in 56 matches for Pakistan and also scored 12 in 32 at under-21 level for his national team.
His international experience spans a wealth of tournaments including appearances at two Commonwealth Games, multiple Asia Cups and Champions Trophy events.
On signing for the club, Ali said: “I am very happy to begin my journey with Holcombe HC, I am super excited and honoured to be joining the Holcombe family.
“I am looking forward to meeting my new teammates, can’t wait for the training and to dive into the season ahead and perform at a high level.
“I’m looking forward to learning from experienced players and coaches and making new friendships while contributing to the team’s success.”
Head Coach and Director of Hockey Browne added: “I am filled with excitement at the prospect of working with Mubashar.
“His arrival is set to bring a fresh wave of energy as we look forward to seeing him unleash his ferocious drag flick.”
