Sky are reporting that the Addicks are keen to sign Bolton’s attacking midfielder, Erhun Oztumer.
Oztumer was desperately close to a move to The Valley in January, but Bolton’s failure to bring Ched Evans in on loan scuppered the deal at the last minute.
Bolton’s parlous financial state – they start next season with a 12 point deduction for going into administration – means they are likely to shed some of their senior players.
Oztumer is 28-years-old, and was on Charlton’s books as a youngster, before moving to Turkey for three years.
He returned to England to play for Peterborough, but it was after moving to Walsall in 2016, that he really began to make his mark.
In his two seasons with the Sadlers he made 75 league starts, plus another 11 appearances from the bench, scoring 30 goals.
Bolton snapped him up on a free transfer when his contract expired last summer.
Oztumer was at Wembley last Sunday, and would be a natural replacement for Jonny Williams.
There is increasing speculation that Patrick Bauer will pen a new deal at The Valley.
The big German became a father last month and is settled in his Chislehurst home.
He wants to play Championship football, and he now has the opportunity to do that without the upheaval of moving his family.
