Cooling’s Alex Olsen is ready to return to the track as the Bennett’s British Superbike Championship gets underway this weekend.
Olsen will be on track for FHO Racing in the National Superstock 1000 championship in their first race weekend as a team.
For Alex it marks a return to the track following his accident for Smith’s Racing BMW which saw him go through some extensive rehabilitation to get back on track.
Speaking ahead of the weekend, he said: “Getting back on a bike was going to be a big hurdle for me, after returning from some very serious injuries I sustained last season.
“Surprisingly I am feeling very good on the bike – my fitness is now back to normal and I have shown I can be competitive from the start.
“Going into round one at Oulton Park this weekend, I feel we can achieve a good result on the all-new BMW M 1000 RR.
“I feel at home on the bike already, especially at the last test where I was running in the top four. I want to finish Oulton with points in the bag, but I know we can challenge for podiums.”
