Cooling’s Alex Olsen will remain with FHO Racing for the 2022 season as he remains with the National Superstock championship.

Olsen has been impressive since returning to the circuit in the 2021 season with FHO Racing after recovering from a serious injury whilst competing in the BSB in 2020.

The Kent rider finishes sixth in the final race of the season at his home circuit of Brands Hatch this afternoon. It wasn’t enough for him to take the title as he finished 21 points behind champion Tom Neave.

He took four wins, one second and one third and he gave the newly formed FHO Racing their first win in any format earlier in the year.

However, he goes into the winter break knowing that he can prepare to return for 2022 and mounting another title challenge.

Speaking about getting the deal signed, Olsen said: “I am really glad to get the deal done coming into the last round as you are ready for a good winter ahead of the new season. I am already working on hitting the ground run next year and consistency is so important.

“It is always nice to go into this final weekend knowing we can still win, but we know we had to build up during the year, so it will be nice to go into 2022 fully fit and have a good go at it straight away.”
