Following a Biblical-style deluge of heavy rain right at start time – entirely unpredicted by all the satellite-technology of the Met Office – which did for last Friday’s Tunnel Trophy match versus local rivals Arena Essex, the two Speedway sides are to reconvene at Sittingbourne’s Central Park for the Kent CTA Fire Kings’ closing meeting of the 2014 campaign.
Those fans who were gathered in Central Park on Friday only to be disappointed by the rain-off are all able to attend this Friday (17/10) by using their re-admission tickets which shall, of course, get them in free of charge; and they’ll be boosted by news of two changes to the previously programmed visiting Young Hammers side.
Coming in are two very popular ex-CTA Fire Kings’ rides: Luke Chessell (whose father Mark used to ride for the Thurrock-based club back in 1987) and the third-placed rider in this year’s GB Under 19s championship, Jack Kingston.
The rearranged Tunnel Trophy meeting is on Friday 17th. October – 6.30pm start-time.
The Presentation Event will follow in the Central Bar including the much-anticipated award of the 2014 Kent CTA Fire Kings Rider of the Year (voting for which ended last Friday) and the Buckmore Park Karting Trophy for the season’s top points scorer.
