Charlton head to Northampton on Saturday for their first competitive game at Sixfields.
Karl Robinson’s side are looking for their first win in eight games.
Robinson will continue with his rotation system as he strives to find a shape and blend that works for his current squad.
Patrick Bauer should be available again after being concussed against Bury, and Lewis Page has recovered from the illness that kept him out of the Shrewsbury game. There could be a chance for talented right-back, Aaron Barnes, to make his debut.
The manager praised Lee Novak for his efforts on Tuesday, but Josh Magennis did not have one of his better nights, and was taken off before the end.
The Addicks could field this team:
Rudd; Barnes, Bauer, Konsa, Page; Byrne, Crofts, Ulvestad, Holmes; Magennis, Novak.
Subs: Phillips, Dasilva, Jackson, Aribo, Botaka, Watt, Ahearne-Grant.
Ben Toner from Lancashire will be the referee.
Charlton last won a league game in Northampton in 1963. Now would be a good time for them to win again.
