Gillingham striker Luke Norris seems set to leave Priestfield and is in talks with another club.

The 23 year old forward was missing from The Gills squad that faced Leyton Orient at the Matchroom Stadium on Saturday sparking rumours he was about to leave the club and manager Justin Edinburgh confirmed Norris was set to depart with another club having come in for the former Brentford striker:

“There was an enquiry from another club and we have allowed Luke to go and speak to them.”

With just Cody McDonald, Rory Donnelly and on loan striker Joe Quigley on the books and with a number of injuries at the club, Edinburgh will now spend this week looking for more replacements.

The season kicks off next week at Southend United and Edinburgh admitted he doesn’t have to sell players to bring more in.
