It was a case of mixed fortunes for Kent’s non league sides on Tuesday night with Bromley, Margate, Chatham Town and Maidstone United all winning.
Ebbsfleet United’s chance of easing their relegation fears were dented at Grimsby Town going down 3-1 with Liam Enver-Marum pulling a goal back on 75 minutes, but they’d trailed to a first minute Marcus Marshall goal and Andy Cook made it 2-0 shortly before the break.
Craig Disley was on hand to seal the win for the home side with Ebbsfleet having sustained injuries to both Craig Stone and Stefan Payne in the first half.
Bromley did their chances of survival in the Blue Square Bet South no harm at all with a 2-0 home win against Chelmsford City.
Louie Theophanous and Tony Finn were on target in either half as Mark Goldberg’s side climbed to 13th in the table.
