It was a real mixed bag for Kent’s non league clubs this weekend with great wins for Bromley, Dartford and Welling United.
Ebbsfleet United lost the two o’clock game against Southport with Tony Gray scoring two spot kicks for the visitors. Lance Cronin also saved one from Gray after Gozie Ugwu had given Fleet a lead on the half hour mark.
In the Conference South, Bromley beat high flying Chelmsford City 1-0 with Hakeem Araba on target for the home side.
The Kent derby honours went to Welling United as Jack Parkinson’s goal was enough for the Wings to win 1-0 at Dover Athletic with James Walker missing a spot kick late on for the home side.
Jacob Erskine and James Rogers scored the goals for Dartford as they eased past Salisbury City at Princes Park, whilst goals from Suarez and Rory Hill weren’t enough as Tonbridge Angels went down 3-2 at Farnborough.
