Ebbefleet United were edged out in a seven goal thriller on Saturday with Dover Athletic picking up another win in the Conference South.

Despite going three goals down in the first thirteen minutes, Ebbsfleet pulled it back to 3-2 with Nathaniel Pinney and Yado Mambo scoring before the half hour mark.

Conceding a fourth goal to Grimsby just after the break put the game beyond Fleet’s reach with Ricky Shakes scoring a 91st minute consolation.

In the Conference South, Nicky Forster’s Dover side recorded a fine win at Staines Town with Billy Bricknell and George Purcell on target for the Whites in the 3-0 win with Staines contributing with an own goal.

Meanwhile, Bromley, Tonbridge Angels and Welling United all tasted defeat with Dartford earning a draw at home to Dorchester Town.
